AlfaVet is organic lucerne pellets.

AlfaVet is 100% pure, dried, organic alfalfa produced in South Jutland, nothing else. AlfaVet is harvested when the nutrient content is at its peak, and therefore has a very high nutrient density. AlfaVet can be used to add healthy green feed units to the roughage, and to reduce the amount of starch and sugar that comes via grain and molasses in the feed. AlfaVet can be used to add protein to the basic feed, to compensate for varying hay quality.

By feeding AlfaVet together with TopVet grass pellets as a mash in a 1:1 ratio, you can completely or partially replace other crib roughage, with a higher starch content.

Always remember that AlfaVet alfalfa pellets MUST be soaked in water to prevent them from getting stuck in the horse's esophagus, which can be life-threatening.
